After several years of private practice in different design offices and a Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Valentina has completed a PhD program in "Risk and Sustainability in Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Systems" at the University of Salerno in September 2025, successfully defending a dissertation on "Use of mechanical metamaterials and rapid prototyping techniques for the design and experimental characterization of innovative seismic isolation systems". Engaged in topics related to seismic isolation, her research is projected toward the design, modeling and experimental validation of biomimetic seismic isolators that can mimic the mechanics of human locomotion.
