Julia have been involved in the past few years with research projects concerning structural mechanics. At Federal University of Juiz de Fora, she dealt with fractal structures at the Department of Structures and with structural optimization of steel frames at the Department of Applied and Computational Mechanics. Júlia completed the Ph.D. program in “Risk and Sustainability in Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering Systems” at the University of Salerno in January 2026, successfully defending a dissertation entitled “Discrete and Continuous Approaches to the Propagation of Mechanical Waves in Nonlinear Elastic Systems.” She is currently conducting research on the dynamic response of mechanical metamaterials in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Salerno.
