Hazar Etteyeb is a software engineer and currently a Ph.D student in Engineering at the University of Salerno, focusing on artificial intelligence applications for advanced monitoring and detection of structural damage using drones. Her research leverages machine learning, deep learning, and computational simulations to assess structural health, improving the identification and evaluation of damages in structures while ensuring innovative and sustainable solutions for infrastructure management.
Driven by a passion for solving problems with AI, Hazar transitioned from software development to data science. She has extensive research experience in various AI fields , in computational simulations for innovative civil engineering materials and the development of machine learning models for nanoparticle synthesis. Additionally, she has worked on web and mobile application development, integrating machine learning to predict COVID-19 outcomes and leveraging IoT for e-health solutions.
Hazar’s work is supported by certifications such as IBM’s "Artificial Intelligence Analyst" and "IoT Cloud Developer."
Her PhD research work is aligned with bridging technology and engineering to develop innovative approaches for structural damage monitoring, ensuring sustainability and efficiency in civil infrastructure.
